Job Description
The Village of Forest View is seeking motivated and dependable individual to join our Public Works Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, tree trimming, street sign maintenance, sewer cleaning, and asphalt road repair.
- Help with the setup and teardown of community events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Public Works Superintendent.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License.
- Applicant will be subject to a background check and physical exam.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to perform physical manual labor and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as well as with co-workers and the general public and have good communication skills.
Hours and Compensation
- Maximum 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.
- Some weekend work may be required for special events.
