EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM:
The Village’s emergency notification system, formerly known as OnSolve CodeRED, was discontinued in November 2025. The Village has since transitioned to a new platform, CodeRED by Crisis24. Unfortunately, contact information from the previous system could not be transferred to the new system.
This notification system is used to keep residents informed of important information, including:
- Water main repairs and service shut-offs
- Village events
- Construction projects
- Road closures
- Emergency situations affecting the Village
To continue receiving emergency and community notifications, all residents must re-register. Residents who wish to sign up are for CodeRed by Crisis 24 are asked to complete the registration form that is located at the bottom of this page and click the Code Red Image.
YARD WASTE:
Yard waste pick-up will officially begin on Wednesday April 1st. Grass, branches, leaves, and other natural waste can be put into brown yard waste bags or into containers not exceeding 35-gallon size with a COMPOST ONLY sticker of the container. BIODEGRADABLE YARD BAGS DO NOT NEED A STICKER. PLASTIC BAGS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. If you need stickers for a container, they are available free of charge in the Village Office.
Note: The Village has paper yard waste bags available free of charge.
RESIDENTS WITH LAWN SERVICE:
Please make sure your landscaping company does NOT blow grass clippings and leaves into the street. Please advise your landscaper to place grass clippings and leaves in a garbage can with a Compost Sticker (available at the Village Office free of charge) affixed to the can or to bag the leaves in paper yard waste bags.
GARBAGE ORDINANCE:
Please remember to follow the Villages ordinances regarding garbage collection times. This includes not putting cans out before 5 pm on the day before collection (Tuesday evening) and taking the cans back in by 8 pm the day of collection (Wednesday night). During certain holidays the day of collection may change.
